Really beautiful module!

However, despite the fact that the home page is supposedly configurable, regardless of what one puts in the global setting, the home button links to another copy of Super Nav which then opens in main frame (so there are two instances running).

Note that if the user sets their own home page, this does not happen (though it may be a nice feature to not require the http:// prefix in order for the function to work, or even better to allow a user to capture a specific page to automatically use as their home page (set home to current page).

In any case, I've attached a screenshot of the bug.

Hello Jay,

I've tried to duplicate the problem, but haven't had success yet.

One thing to clarify is that the Home Page button (the textual button at the top of Navigation that says "Home Page") should go to your site's actual home page.

The "Default Home Page" setting in the Super Nav settings is the page that Super Nav will go when someone logs in, unless they've set their personal home page settings, in which case they will be directed to that page instead.

What are you clicking on that causes the Super Nav to show in the right frame (i.e., which 'home button' do you mean)? What is your setting for your Super Nav global homepage when that happens?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Sorry about that - I should have clarified. The textual link (the one that says "Home Page") directs fine to the home page of the main site (/node). It is when I click the picture of the house that I have the problem. I have tried setting the global home page to my root as well as http://www.google.com (just to check) but clicking the house results in the same problem. However, if I set the home page manually (through the Super Nav interface) using the individual settings (picture of the cog/gear) then the house/home button works fine.

Jay,

Chris slaps forehead

For some reason, I spaced on the fact that there's a little home button there in the toolbar. I hadn't been using it during testing, so it kind of slipped my mind.

I see what you mean, I'll post again when I have it fixed.

Thanks!
Chris

Chris,

Does that slap mean you were able to reproduce the problem, or that my response was so convoluted that you had to slap your head to keep it from exploding? ;-)

Jay

The slap was for not knowing what you were talking about, even though you were being clear. So, my bad, not yours. :)

Hi Jay,

I have just uploaded an update to CVS which fixes the home button issue, you can download via CVS or wait until the next tarball.

Thanks!
Chris
